Somewhere in Shahre babak county located in Kerman a southern province in Iran, an ancient rocky village rests. The village has been carved in volcanic rocks presenting an intriguing form of architecture. Dating back to approximately 12000 years ago, the village is recognized as an early human residence.
The area has been inscribed as UNESCO world heritage.
Archaeologists have found some ancient stone engraving objects near the village which can in turn prove the long history of the site.
