Guran is a seaside village located on the northern coast of Qeshm island which is mostly notable for a historical block on the west side of Harra forest which dates back to Sassanid period and is reachable approximately 80 km away. It is believed that Guran village was inhabited by Zoroastrians, years ago.
The village is famed in being one of the first centers of making wooden boats and dhows in Qeshm Island. Since many years ago, Iranian craftsman have created traditional wooden boats and have made such a craftsmanship a kind of traditional career there.
As a traveler who has a passion for traditional craftsmanship, it will make you stop to see the beautiful views with incomplete boats resting on the beach and men working passionately and hard on them.
The village is located in Shahab district, Qeshm Island in Hormozgan province.
Don’t fail to visit Chah-Kooh as an intriguing canyon nearby. The site is really beautiful full of holes in various shapes which actually does not look real.
Summers here are really hot so spring can be mentioned as a good time to visit awesome views where palm trees on a background of an inspiring red sunset.
